Hello ljland people. Long time no talk. I transferred stores from ghetto Eastpoint to the Arundel Mills Golden Corral store. Hallelujah! Little bit longer drive, but much better employees, clientele and a 10g salary increase.
Moving from my apartment in Dundalk, to a 2bd. townhome in..................Dundalk. Yes, what a step up. :-) Hahaha, crap. Anyway, moving in on the 13th or 14th this month with Nicky. Bre will probably be moving in to occupy the second room shortly thereafter. So I imagine there will be some drinking/other partying going on there.

What the hell is the rabbit's foot??? Saw M:I:3 last night, thoroughly entertaining. Looking forward to X-3, even though I'm always super-critical of comic books translated to movies, the first 2 haven't been bad. They're getting progressively better, so the previews for X-3 look good. I'm glad I never saw the Incredible Hulk bomb of a movie. But the biggest, saddest excuse for a comic book movie, was the tv premiere movie of generation x. Horribly crappy special effects and poor plot made me wanna vomit. But hey, they tried. MY main man E-dawg(that's Ernie) is back from Iraq, finishing his 2 years of service for the Reserves. What does this mean? Lots of celebration drinking!!! Peace. |

Been promoted at Golden Corral to another level of management. I've got to do 14 weeks of training to get my raise. The money'll be worth it. 12 weeks are in Virginia Beach stores near our franchise HQ and the last 2 weeks are in raleigh, NC at the corporate office. I'm leaving Wed. night and I'll be up from time to time, so if anybody wants to hang out, come visit or need anything, just shoot me an IM or e-mail. Other than that, everythings about normal here, goin to see Fantastic Four tonight with Nicky, I'm sure it'll be awesome, as most Marvel movies have been(excluding Elektra and the Hulk). Got 3 "new" user pics for the ol' lj. I haven't scanned or dl'd anything new in a long ass time. so three updates it is.
Got woken up early a couple times by my pager. Decided to just get the hell up. Adam, Tony, Joe, and some random hoodrat girl were in the living room. I'll give it up to Joe, he lives his life one day at a time till the wheels fall off, bringing home different girls and gettin drunk and stoned all the the time. Anyway, played spades at the crack of dawn, 11:00 a.m., and Joe and I whipped that ass.

I love when work schedules conflict so you can't see your gf when you really want to. Winter depression sucks, but it's only instigated by other factors, like being overworked, having a lack of money, being out of shape, having some guy that your girl hangs out with wanting to fuck her, your car being banged up, not seeing any of your good friends anymore, etc., etc. It's a shame you take out your anxiety, depression or frustration, out on the wrong people, namely those close to you, but your feelings can't be helped at times. It just seeps out of you, until you explode it onto someone or just take it out on yourself by moping around. You gotta deal with it somehow. It's part of a desire to be better than you already are, to improve your situation in life. You want to have nicer things, better relationships with people, a better self-image. But if you can't achieve it then how do you deal with the disappointment? You have to lick your wounds, but then you have to go back out and try to improve things again. Being satisfied with your standing is impossible. At first you might seem happy, but then you want more. That or what you have slowly and unnoticeably deteriorates. You want to revamp what you had but its not always as easy as you'd like. And then more disappointment. Not really surprised at the number of suicides at this time of year. Now I have to run out and get a last minute present or else I'll be yelled at. |

Why do guys keep searching for things they want in all the wrong places. Or more directly, why do some guys try to get with girls they know they can't have? Persistence and stubbornness are viewed as the other. They believe that if they are stubborn, and ignore all signs of the contrary, that one day there prayers will be answered. A woman will lose her senses, get rid of what's good in her life and hop on the nearest loser train. Hmmm....nope, don't think so. If you're desperate for a woman there are other ways to get it, though I would consider prostitution a more moral solution than the methodology you prescribe to. At least face failure with some dignity, don't cry yourself to sleep over something you knew wouldn't work out. The reason you're not with that girl is b/c it's not meant to be. You can't force your way into things. If she becomes available, it will be because the relationship has lost track and gone too far astray. Then you have your chance, but until then, don't fuck around with other people's lives. Would you want to be treated that way? I think not. We all know guys don't hang out with a woman as friends on a regular basis unless he's trying to get with her, whether he admits it publicly or not. It's in our base nature to reproduce and hunt. We desire certain things and we try to obtain them however possible. But if those things are in someone else's possession or territory we leave well enough alone, and look for something more suitable, or risk injury. Now a guy hanging out with a girl as friends every once in a while, then that's believable. Camaraderie, but nothing more. The difference in once in a while, and as much as possible, are very plain to see. This concludes my spiel about men's desires, and how stubbornness frequently leads them down dead-end roads with nothing but pain waiting for them. |

So because they decide to put a major special on monday nights, and my shift manager got hurt at his other job, I got to be stuck in my store closing after a horrendously busy night, and then having to do my usual monday night inventory, order, scheduling and all the other fun stuff that had kept me up until 4:00 a.m. today. Oh, and now I get to go to work from 7-5. Yay.
Earlier today I bought a bookcase and a couple small presents for this girl I know. I hope she likes them. |
